Logan, Holmen tough challenges in first round of playoffs
Both teams host games tonight
High school football playoffs get underway tonight in Wisconsin.
Logan and Holmen will be playing at home.
Though the Rangers are the No. 2 seed with a 7-2 record, they still have a tough challenge with seventh-seeded Madison Edgewood (3-6). Watch that game here.
And that’s because of a tiny little quarterback named Jack Dunn. The 5-foot-9, 175-pound senior has thrown for just 75 yards a game. But, he’s rushed for over 1,660 yards and 25 touchdowns. He’s averaging 7.7 yards a carry.
The Logan game will be broadcast here for those who don’t want to sit out in the elements, or listen on AM 580.
Fourth-seeded Holmen (7-2) is taking on No. 5 DeForest (6-3), a team with a solid quarterback and 1,200-yard rusher.
Connor True is that QB. He’s a 6-foot, 165-pound senior, who has passed for 840 yards with nine touchdowns and three interceptions. Running back Jadon Sackman has an 8.1-yards-per-carry average. The 6-foot, 205-pound RB has 150 carries for 1,216 yards and 16 TDs.
