UW-L wins, DIII World Series title shot next
Eagles face No. 1 SUNY Cortland tonight
APPLETON, Wis. – The University of Wisconsin-La Crosse baseball team is playing for a Division III National Title.
The Eagles defeated Trinity 10-7 in the semifinals earlier today, and faceoff against No. 1-ranked SUNY Cortland (43-4) at 8:20 p.m. tonight at Fox Cities Stadium. This will be the first game of a best-of-three series.

Ben Cejka started the game versus Trinity and went five innings, scattering 11 hits and two walks. He gave up three runs and struck out two. He remains tied for the lead at UW-L in career wins (18). Caleb Boushley finished off the game, getting the win. He cruised until the ninth inning, when Trinity scored four runs to make things a tad interesting.
Bryce Barsness and Shane Adler were both 3-for-4 for the Eagles (36-14). Trinity’s season ends 40-14.
