Winner moves on to play top-ranked SUNY Cortland
APPLETON, Wis. – The UW-La Crosse baseball team gets underway in the third round of the Division III College World series at 8:45 p.m. tonight at Fox Cities Stadium.

The Eagles (35-13) will play Trinity (39-13). Win, and UW-L is in the National Championship game. Lose, and the two teams will rematch for a bid to the title game.
Whoever moves on will play top-ranked SUNY Cortland (42-4).
Winning tonight is important for the Eagles, in this double-elimination tournament, because SUNY Cortland is undefeated. To win the championship, a team must beat its opponent twice. If UW-L wins tonight, it will essentially be a best-of-3 series. If the Eagles lose tonight, they will have to win two in a row to win the title.
