Greek Freak joins dunk contest

They call him the Greek Freak. It’s easier than saying or spelling his name.

Now, Giannis Antetokounmpo just needs his own signature dunk.

Perhaps that’s what NBA fans will see. Antetokounmpo announced today he has committed to all-star slam dunk contest at 7:30 p.m. Feb. 14 on TNT from Madison Square Garden.

Also committing are the Magic’s Victor Oladipo, along with the Nets’ Mason Plumlee and the Timberwolves’ Zach LaVine.

The last Buck to be in the dunk contest was Ray Allen in 1996-97. Paul Pressey was the only other Buck to participate back in 1985-86.

Here are the 6-foot-11 sophomore’s highlights from the Bucks-Knicks game in London, including a dunk on Carmelo Anthony – because everyone loves seeing that – a couple other dunks and a free throw, for some reason.

Here’s a compilation of the Greek’s 61 dunks from his rookie year:

And, just for good measure, Ray Allen back in the day.
