KENOSHA, Wis. – Skylar Cameron scored 30, Cale Zuiker added a career-high 27 as the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse men’s basketball team bounced back at the Carthage College Classic.

Friday, the Eagles lost at the buzzer. Saturday, they started slow, but made no doubt about getting a win, using big UW-L's Zuiker scored a career high 27 on Saturday.runs in each half to defeat Carthage 80-67.

Carthage (1-2) led 25-21 in the first half, but UW-L (2-1) went on a 13-0 run to take the lead and never looked back.

Carthage cut that lead to 43-41 early in the second half, before UW-L put things away with a 13-4 run.

The Eagles were a blistering 15-for-29 from beyond the arc. In fact, they shot better from deep (51.7 percent) than from the field (47.2). UW-L was also pass happy, with 18 assists on its 25 field goals.

Skylar was 7-for-11 from beyond the arc, while Zuiker was 5-for-10.

Next up for the Eagles, an intracity matchup with Viterbo at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Bemidji St. 69, Viterbo 58

BEMIDJI, Minn. – Bemidji St. remains undefeated, holding the Vitero men’s basketball team to just 30.8-percent shooting.

The V-Hakws (3-4) got 18 points from Alex Diciaula and 15 from David Shepard, but the two shot just 11-for-29 from the field.

BSU (3-0), which shot 51 percent from the field, got 16 apiece from both Kaylor Zimmerman and Brock Lutes.

The two teams combined for 32 turnovers – 15 by Viterbo.
