Three players from Logan High School and three more from Holmen were named honorable mention on the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association all-state team.

Among them was Kyle Bakalars as both a running back and inside linebacker. The senior set a single-season rushing record for the Rangers with 1,654 yards on 173 carries and 24 touchdowns. He also had 58 tackles – 15 for a loss – including five sacks.

The other two Rangers were senior Evan Verhota at defensive end and senior Dylan Crocker at inside linebacker. Crocker led the team in tackles (89).

Two of the three honorable mentions for Holmen come on the line. Junior Jarod Banks was named as a defensive lineman for the Vikings, while senior teammate Chuck Serauskas was named as an offensive lineman. Senior defensive back Christ Magnuson rounds out the list for Holmen.

The WFCA offensive player of the year was Brown Deer senior quarterback Zack Baun.

The defensive player of the year was Homestead defensive lineman David Pfaff.
