H.S. Football: Times for Saturday’s rescheduled games
Lightning delayed a lot of the high school football games in the area Friday night. Here’s where most of the area games are at and what time they will continue on Saturday.
The game you may have been listening to or watching on our livestream site, Eau Claire Memorial against Central, will get back underway at 5 p.m. Saturday at UW-L. Memorial is up 20-7.
Logan and Eau Claire North were tied 7-7 in the second quarter before being postponed. They will resume at 1 p.m. Saturday at Logan. The Rangers’ QB, Matthew Kind, hit big 6-foot-5 tight end Evan Verhota for an 11-yard touchdown on fourth down on the first drive – set up by a 54-yard run by Aric Elmore. North, however, tied it up just before the lightning reared its head.
West Salem and Richland Center never started and they may not play tomorrow because of bussing and other scheduling concerns.
They got midway through the second quarter before being postponed with Black River up at home on Tomah 8-0. They’ll resume at 10:30 a.m. Saturday.
The rest of these games will also resume Saturday.
Arcadia at Whitehall will get underway at 10 a.m.
Bangor at Blair-Taylor will begin at 2 p.m.
Fillmore Central at Caledonia will begin at noon.
Chatfield against Rushford-Peterson will start at 5 p.m. at Winona State.
The games that did go final, Lancaster beat Onalaska 51-22. It was called late in the fourth quarter because of lightning.
Alma/Pepin beat Independence Gilmanton 35-6.
Somerset defeated Gale-Ettrick-Trempealeau 34-13
