NFL announces games early
The NFL is announcing its schedule at 7 p.m. tonight on ESPN2, but three games have already been announced.
Three games you most likely won’t go to. Three games that will let London know just what the NFL is NOT about.
Those three games: Miami at Oakland at noon on Sept. 28, Detroit at Atlanta at 8:30 a.m. on Oct. 26 and Dallas at Jacksonville at noon on Nov. 9.
The noon games here will be at 6 p.m. in London.
Why they’re playing an NFL game at 8:30 a.m. in the states (2:30 p.m. in London) makes absolutely no sense, though I’m not really sure when tea time is in London.
At least they’re sending some of the worst teams from last year over there to really get London fired up about the NFL.
But, in all fairness, it is the NFL, and for all anyone knows, Atlanta, Miami, Oakland or Jacksonville could all be playoff teams next year, as unlikely as it seems.
Dallas and Detroit, however, will never be a playoff team ever. Ever.
