This is why we all love Bob Uecker.
While Milwaukee Brewers’ catcher Martin Maldonado hits the cover off the ball … literally, Uecker calls it exactly how it is Friday against the Pirates in Pittsburgh.
“I have never seen that in my entire life,” he chuckled. “That’s a new one for me.
“He threw it anyway, and it rolled over there like a napkin,” he said of Pittsburgh Pirates’ third baseman Pedro Alvarez trying to throw out Maldonado.
