The WIAA high school football playoffs seeds are complete.

Unbeaten Logan (9-0) is a top seed in Division 3. The Rangers’ biggest win of the season came against Holmen (8-1) on a last-second field goal just before halftime.

It was an impressive win for the Rangers. Apparently, it was also a depressive loss for the Vikings.

While Logan was awarded a top seed in its bracket, Holmen, and its one loss, is seeded seventh in the Division 2 bracket. The Vikings will head 222 miles North and play undefeated and second-seeded Superior at 7 p.m. Friday.

Holmen finished the season ranked 14th in the AP Large Division poll. Superior (9-0) is ranked three spots below at 17.

A win on the road and the Vikings most likely play third-seeded Ashwaubenon (8-1), which is ranked fifth. But that’s getting too far ahead.

DIVISION 3: Logan gets the top seed and hosts Antigo (4-5). A win could set up a rematch with fifth-seeded West Salem (6-2), which plays at No. 4 New Richmond (7-2).

Onalaska (4-5) is also in the Division 2 pairing and, just like Holmen, its a seventh-seed but one with a sub-.500 record. The Hilltoppers will head to Mosinee (7-1), a team ranked 16th in the Medium Division.

DIVISION 4: Black River Falls (8-1) finds itself in a tough pairing with third-ranked Somerset and 10th-ranked St. Croix Central (8-0). BRF is a third seed and will host six-seed Northland Pines (6-3), which plays half its schedule against teams in Michigan.

DIVISION 5: Fifth-ranked and unbeaten Arcadia (9-0) is the top seed in its pairing. The Raiders will host Pardeeville (4-5). Coulee Conference foe, Westby (7-2), is also in the pairing with the fourth seed and will host No. 5 Auburndale (6-2).

If Arcadia and Westby win, they will face each other in a rematch from Week 8. The Raiders won that 41-10.

DIVISION 6: Independence/Gilmanton (6-3) limps into the playoffs a bit, after a 16-6 loss last Friday to Eleva-Strum that lost them the Dairyland Conference title outright.

I/G gets a familiar opponent in sixth-seeded Melrose-Mindoro (6-3), a team it defeated 39-7 three weeks ago.

Cochrane-Fountain City needed a win in the regular-season finale to make the playoffs and, of course, did. The Pirates (4-5) play No. 2-seed Rosholt and its 6-3 record.

DIVISION 7: With that win over I/G, Eleva-Strum (7-2) earned itself a No. 3 seed and will host Loyal (5-4).

On the other side of the bracket, eighth-ranked Bangor (9-0) has the top seed and will host De Soto (4-5).

A win and Bangor will have a rematch of a regular-season game – a regular-season in which it was not challenged. Bangor could play either fifth-seeded New Lisbon (6-3), which travels to No. 4 Cashton (5-4).

Bangor beat New Lisbon 24-6 and Cashton 22-6.

On the other half of this pairing, undefeated Pepin/Alma (9-0) has the No. 2 seed and will host Weston (5-4).
