    Unbeaten Logan cracks AP FB poll

    The Logan High School football team is starting to get recognition in the state.

    The Rangers (3-0) are receiving votes, ranked 15th in the the AP football poll (below) as they get ready to take on Aquinas at UW-La Crosse tonight at 6 p.m. You can hear that live on AM 580 WKTY or you can watch the game live right here or stream it on your ROKU through the Livestream app thanks to Minnesota State College and Southeast Tech.

    The 3-0 Warriors are now second in Class AA in the AP poll (below) and look to extend its regular-season winning streak to 27 games.

    Holmen, Logan remain unbeaten in blowouts

    Logan High School football team gets a lot of recognition for its play-making ability on offense. Coach Casey Knoble, however, may be the first to tell you the backbone of the Rangers is their defense.

    Friday, the defense kept the ship afloat until the offense started to figure things out in a 36-0 MVC win over Aquinas at UW-La Crosse.

    Battle of unbeatens: Holmen at West Salem

    The battle of the unbeatens in the MVC take the stage at West Salem High School on tonight.

    Conference newcomers, West Salem (3-0, 2-0), got an overtime win in Onalaska last week, thanks to some heroics by quarterback Tim Schauf.

    They seem to be getting better each week, gaining momentum as the playoffs near. Holmen’s high school football team was close last year – losing in the quarterfinals to the state runner up.

    Gone, however, are 15 starters from that team, including the one-two punch of quarterback Tyler Anderson and halfback Dillon Martinez. That’s a big blow for a wishbone offense that depends so much on the quarterback making the right reads and having a chemistry with the running back whom he is pitching the ball to in the triple-option.

    HOLMEN, Wis. - In a battle of the undefeated, the Logan High School football team had to be underdogs Friday.

    Holmen was playing at home, had won the last three meetings and had its starting quarterback - one that had scored 10 rushing touchdowns in the first half of the last three games and had a 12.1-yard rushing average this season.

    Unbeaten Logan High School's football team, despite a 29-14 win last week over West Salem (4-2), moved down in the Associated Press Wisconsin football rankings.
